Dr M R Jaffa

Our principal is Dr Martin Jaffa, who has over 35 years of experience in the aquaculture industry.  Callander McDowell was established in 1990 to assist with the promotion of market-led strategies for the burgeoning salmon farming industry.  Dr Jaffa is a passionate advocate of aquaculture and believes that farming will take over from the wild catch as the principal  source of fish and seafood.  As the population increases and food becomes more scarce, aquaculture offers one answer to alleviate possible shortages.  In line with this, his interests have extended to include the marketing of other species, including cod, barramundi, tuna and pangasius.
